Glethorne is a Victorian Country House set in one of the most beautiful and peaceful locations in Grasmere in the heart of the English Lake District. There is accommodation for up to 50 people some in the main house and some in the annex, a building once used for stabling by William Wordsworth when he lived in the neighbouring Allan Bank. A number of our ground floor rooms are suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

DirectionsFrom the North, (A591), take the 1st turning into Grasmere village, past the park, village store and other shops. Take the first turning on the right, this is Easedale Road (opposite a book shop). 300yds up the slight hill, we are the first major building on the left. Car park at the rear.From the South, (A591), take the first exit off the roundabout into the village. Past the school, Church, Wordsworth Hotel and Red Lion Hotel, Heaton Coopers art studio is on the left, book shop directly in front of you. Turn left opposite the book shop into Easedale Road. 300yds up the slight hill we are the first major building on the left.
