The Rothay Garth is an elegant family run bed and breakfast set in Ambleside village with the benefit of a large private car park and enjoying suberb views of the surrounding mountains. Enjoy our beautiful and traditional Victorian Lakeland slate building which, whilst retaining its character and many original features, also offers en suite facilities, a comfortable spacious resident's lounge and drinks service, conservatory and a well presented elegant breakfast room. From South - enter Ambleside on the A591 travelling straight ahead at the traffic lights. Continue for 1 mile passing Hayes Garden World on your left. When you see the BP petrol station bear left onto Wansfell Road and then get into the right hand lane as you go down the hill. Follow the road as it bears right towards the centre of the village - The Rothay Garth is the 3rd building on the right!From North - enter Ambleside on the A591 travelling straight ahead at the mini roundabout continuing though the village passing The Salutation on your left, and The White Lion also on your left. Get into the right hand lane as you pass Adventure Peaks on the right hand side. At the BP petrol station turn right onto Wansfell Road and stay in the right hand lane as you go down the hill. Follow the road as it bears right towards the centre of the village - The Rothay Garth is the 3rd building on the right!
