The Cuckoo Brow Inn is a traditional Lake District Inn nestled in the quiet village of Far Sawrey. Only a short walk away from the famous National Trust home of Beatrix Potter, Hill Top Farm, we offer cosy newly refurbished accommodation, excellent hearty food, local ales and log fires. Popular with walkers, cyclists and the weekend traveller alike, you will find a warm welcome at the Cuckoo Brow. Our doors are open to Couples, Families and to those wishing to bring their pet away to the Lake District. The Cuckoo Brow is open all year round welcoming guests coming to stay for a few nights or just popping in for a pint.We have 14 excellent en-suite accommodation rooms; all our rooms have been completely refurbished. We have brought the old Inn right up-to scratch with powerful showers, deep baths, flat screen TVs and super king-size beds. We have rooms for the family with bunk beds for children, rooms with twin beds and superior rooms with beautiful freestanding roll top baths. Tea and Coffee facilities are available in each room. Breakfast is included in your stay; we offer a buffet of cereals, juices and yoghurts followed by a cooked breakfast of your choice, ranging from a full hearty Cumbrian breakfast or a lighter smoked haddock with poached eggs.

Directions

From Newby Bridge (A590) - please take the little bridge at the Swan Hotel, and follow the road down the side of the lake. Follow all signs for Sawrey and Far SawreyFrom the Windermere Car Ferry - once you have crossed Lake Windermere over towards Hawkshead, follow the road up the hill, not turning off at any point and you will be with us in two minutes
