Wateredge Inn stands on the shores of Lake Windermere, a short walk from Ambleside centre. Set across two former 17th century fishermen's cottages, it offers a large bar restaurant, cosy bedrooms and period features.The individual bedrooms each have an en-suite bathroom and teacoffee facilities. Directions

By RoadComing from the south, we are just 3 miles north of Windermere. To get here, you should leave the M6 at Junction 36 and follow the A590. Then take the A591 towards Kendal and Windermere, staying on this road for a further 3 miles after passing through Windermere.Coming from the north, we are just south of Ambleside. Leave the M6 at Junction 40 and follow the A66 towards Keswick. Then take the A591 towards Ambleside, staying on this road until you reach us at Waterhead Bay.By RailWindermere is our closest railway station, and from here you can catch a bus or a taxi to us at Waterhead Bay. To get to Windermere from the West Coast main line from London to Glasgow you should get off at Oxenholme, the Lake District and catch a connecting train to Windermere station.
