Ferndale Lodge Ambleside

Ferndale Lodge is family run guest house, close to the centre of the charming town of Ambleside. It is a traditional Victorian property, with free car parking, also offering home cooked breakfasts. The rooms are light and airy and include tea and coffee making facilities, TV and a separate en suite bathroom. Some rooms enjoy splendid views of Ambleside and the surrounding fells. Free Wi Fi is available in all public areas of the property. A choice of continental or home cooked breakfasts are available at Ferndale. A Cumbrian breakfast is served daily using only local produce, aswell as lighter and vegetarian options.The cruise boats on Lake Windermere are a 10 minute stroll away, scenic Rydal Water is a 2 mile drive and the lovely village of Grasmere is just a 4 mile drive. The main bus stop is just a 2 minute walk away, which services the North and South Lakes.

Directions

From J36 on the M6, take the A591 past Kendal and Windermere. At the traffic lights at Waterhead on the outskirts of Ambleside, take the left fork and follow this road for approx 1 mile, until it becomes a two lane one way street, take the right hand lane and follow the road until you reach a T junction. Turn right and then immediately right into the Pay and Display car park. In the car park take the first left into our private car park.
